Caleb Noah Cherotich Launches “Protest Vote 2026” Campaign in Kween
KAPCHORWA – May 27, 2025
In a bold declaration ahead of the 2026 general elections, Caleb Noah Cherotich has officially launched his campaign under the banner “Protest Vote 2026”, positioning himself as a fresh and fearless voice for the people of Kween County.
Cherotich has emphasized the urgent need for new leadership that is “open-minded, truthful, and direct.” He pledged to stand with ordinary citizens who, he says, have long been sidelined by what he described as “elite-centered politics.”
Running on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket, Cherotich says his campaign is grounded on three core pillars:
Transparency, Resilience, and Empowerment.
“These aren’t just words,” he stated. “They are the foundation of the leadership Kween deserves.”
Under the campaign slogan “The Kween We Want”, Cherotich described his bid as more than just an election campaign. “This is not just a vote—it’s a protest against broken promises. It’s a revolution for real people. We are building something different. Something honest,” he said.
If elected, Cherotich has committed to prioritizing community-driven development, education access, and transparent governance during his 2026–2031 term.
As political temperatures rise across the Sebei sub-region, Cherotich’s message has begun to resonate—particularly among the youth and first-time voters. Many have expressed frustration with the current leadership under the NRM government, citing unfulfilled promises and lack of meaningful progress.
"We are ready," Cherotich told What’s Up Kapchorwa. "This is our time."
The race for Kween is officially on.
